CD Ripping Software

I am looking to rip a few audio CD's which I've never really done before. I've got dBpoweramp installed - if this a half decent ripper? After searching through the forums - I noticed the majority of people seem to favour EAC.

Any suggestions or favourites?

Thanks for your time.

I'll put a spanner in the works and say I really like CDex with the LAME encoder.

EAC is another good proggy, but I can't say I've used it as extensively as I have CDex. You can't go wrong with either one.

Hi,
i use 'Handy CD Ripper'(http://handyripper.com). It is not very powerful such as EAC but i've found that it is convenient for me.

Re: CD Ripping Software

I shouldn´t really say this here cos I could get my bottom severly spanked, but I use Nero 7 to rip my CDs to MP3.

Why I say that is ´cos I foolishly gave Ahead, the producer of Nero, lots of money for an annoying, unstable, interfering, mostly unnecessary software (more a kind of malware) package...therefore I´m gonna bloody well use it. It´s so stupid it can´t even remember my settings...

Just take a simple freeware with no frills and easy to use instead of wasting your life with complications and fancy frills...and use EAC if you run into trouble.
