CD-r Mp3 disc loses folders - Club CDFreaks

I burned my music as mp3 onto a cd-r to play in my car.

Disc played fine for a while but when I put it in one day all the folders had gone and files were all in one folder.

I brought disc into the house and put it in pc thinking the folders would be there but they were all gone.

Disc still plays but lots of the tracks are missing.

Is the CD-R physically failing I wonder?

The cd-r still plays but not with folders. All mp3's are now on the one folder although the contents of two folders is missing
