CD burn noises

Got some scratchie noises on some songs after I burned to CD. I burned 15 songs and one song had some extraneous scraping noises. I tried several times, a couple different burn softwares and different speeds but got the same results. I haven't had trouble with my media (Memorex), it's always worked for me. My CD/DVD+RW is fairly new.

Re: CD burn noises

You did check that the source file doesn't have the same noise?

If you burning from MP3s, that could be the problem if your CD mastering s/w doesn't decode them properly. Decode them to WAV first (e.g. with dbPowerAmp, EAC or foobar2000) and see if that helps.
