Car CD Player very picky (Not MP3)

my stock cd player in my explorer (NOT MP3) is very picky, it wont play burnt cds anymore, it plays original perfectly. but any cd i burn it wont play or will till like the 3rd track then ERROR 11 appears. but, i bought a few burnt cds off some guy and he managde to burn them somehow that they play like original, i rarly ever have any problems with his cds. They are burnt on Verbitam printable cds, so i bought the same brand (not printable, just regular verbitam) and i still cant get them to work in my player. am i missing something? is there a BEST program to burn audio cds? i've tried different cds, programs, speeds, burners, but i still cant find the trick.

Re: Car CD Player very picky (Not MP3)

Are the music files that you are burning in CDA format?

This is format used for encoding music on all commercial compact discs. If you buy a CD from a store, the music on that CD is stored in CDA format.

Have you cleaned the cd player head?

What software are you using?

Are you closing ( Finalizing) the session on the disk?

Re: Car CD Player very picky (Not MP3)

the files are in mp3 format, but windows media player converts them to wav audio then i burn to cd. The cds work perfectly in any other cd player, its just that something is wrong with my car cd player, it cant read burnt cds properly, it works for maybe 2-3 songs then the first bump i hit or if i try to forward the tracks, it says ERROR 11. So im guessing it has something to do with the cds im buying or the software im using. Cleaning the lens didnt help. I wish i could just ask the guy i buy the music cds off of what he does, cause only his burnt cds and originals can play in my ford.

Re: Car CD Player very picky (Not MP3)

It's generally recommended to burn at 16x for Audio CDs. Also I'd prefer to use Burrrn (www.burrrn.net) over WMP.
