| Re: best sub woofer for the buck I am kind of partial to Velodyne http://www.velodyne.com/products/pro...9&sid=838q144a I guess it's really going to depend on where you are located and what is available to you as opposed to having it shipped in. ![]() ![]() |

| Re: best sub woofer for the buck Try out a Klipsch > http://www.klipsch.com/products/lists/subwoofer.aspx If you go with a down firing Woofer on carpet put a piece of glass or plexiglass under it. You will have to measure to see how big a piece you need. Hardwood floors are fine.

| Re: best sub woofer for the buck If you go to the audiophile forums, there are a couple of names: SVS - http://www.svsound.com/index.cfm Hsu - http://www.hsuresearch.com/ They are both considered second to none for the price and performance combination, better than subs with many times more expensive. |

Any of the Paradigm or Mirage subs will fill your needs ,, check specs to see what would go with the rest of your system ,,, used both of these for many years ie audiophile system and home theater and still very satisfied ..
