i want to transfer some old cassettes to cd.whats the best software to use to clean them up before i burn them?thanks

I use "dcart" by www.enhancedaudio.com lots of control over the different filters.

You're free to download some 256kbps mp3s of your music from kazaa or rip your friends' CDs, since you actually own and paid for the music. I would probably go as low as 128kbps instead of cassette tapes, but if you're burning rare stuff then I guess you might not have that option.

Are you saying you would download the songs in 128?? Or are you saying you would prefer 128 mp3s over cassetes?

I used dbpoweramp to record some tapes a while back.

You;ll have to download the main program and the auxillary input addon and then go record.
