Audio copy protection???

My friend riped tracks off an audio cd, then sent them to me. I wanted to then burn the tracks to cd. I tried to use nero but it kept saying that the tracks were 809mb which i new they werent. So i tried using fireburner and they burnt them. The problem is when they were played on a stand alone cd player some of the tracks squeaked loudly.

i figure that it is copy protection.

If it is how do i remove it??
Thanks

It doesn't sound like copy protection, just a bad rip.
