Audio copy better than the original

Maybe i should post that in the plextor forum (plextools) but i think it is a subject of general audio interest.

For the first time i noticed an audible error after a dae from a very scratched cd with EAC. (PX40-ts, f1.13).

Original cd, in my salon Sony cdp-xe320, produced a very little noise, that i wouldn't have noticed normaly.
Plextools 1.15, level 5, retries 5 : worst than EAC
Plextools 1.15, level 5, retries 50 : better than EAC, still a noise
Plextools 1.15, level 5, retries 99 : perfect, so better than the original !

In fact, it's not so surprising : pc drive can read below 1x so they can have better results than salon drive.

But at 1x, the best reader is my Sony salon drive, probably because it's designed for audio only.

Btw, i've made dae from last Lauryn Hill cd (Sony, key2audio) : still like no protection. They didn't improve it since Celine Dion
