Audible Clicks in MP3, HELP!!

Hello,

I need some help here, Please. I copied some songs from my original CD to my PC using Windows Media Player. Later I decided to burn those WMA's to MP3's so I can burn them on a CD in MP3 format(more songs can be burnt) rather than the CDA format (much fewer songs are burnt). And now I hear audible clicks, soft ones but they are there like silent hisses in the MP3. I check the WMA version of that same song and its perfectly clear..... How come this happens and is there a way to remedy it.

Thanks for your help.

Why not rip them from the original CD as MP3 & avoid the quality loss that occurs with each conversion.

extract the audio with EAC.
Windows Media Player and itunes sometimes create some "Audible Clicks".
the remedy is rip the music again ...

Re: Audible Clicks in MP3, HELP!!

Thanks TimC for you advise. And cerberus, that is what I did. I am ripping the music again, using Windows Media Player and saving them as WMA 64kbps. And surprisingly, WMA at 64kbps sounds much better than the MP3 at 96kbps. And now a days, there are many burning softwares that let you compile a WMA CD and you can store hours of music too.... Thanks again for your help.

You're only going to hurt yourself by sticking with WiMP and WMA.

The world operates on MP3. Sticking with WMA is shooting yourself in the foot.

And both sound like an AM radio.

Why are you using such a low bitrate?

Stick with MP3. As an industry standard the format plays on almost every devise made where WMA and AAC will limit your choices.
