| ape/cue error Hi: I have a ape/cue files. The usual procedure I use is this 1. Convert ape to Uncompressed wav 2. Use Nero and locate cue file and burn it as an image. I get an error. The thing is that I can play the ape file using JRiver Media Center. I've also tried Monkeys to split the ape into apl, but the program crashes. Can I do something to fix this problem? Here is the cue file: PERFORMER "Mozart" TITLE "Murray Perahia and Radu Lupu (Concertos for 2&3 pianos)" FILE "CDImage.ape" WAVE TRACK 01 AUDIO TITLE "Concerto For 2 pianos & orch. in e flat major K365 Allegro" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 AUDIO TITLE "Concerto For 2 pianos & orch. in e flat major K365 Andante" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 09:36:11 INDEX 01 09:40:12 TRACK 03 AUDIO TITLE "Concerto For 2 pianos & orch. in e flat major K365 Rondeaus" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 16:45:11 INDEX 01 16:49:12 TRACK 04 AUDIO TITLE "Concerto For 3 pianos & orch. in f major K242 Allegro" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 23:24:06 INDEX 01 23:28:07 TRACK 05 AUDIO TITLE "Concerto For 3 pianos & orch. in f major K242 Adagio" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 31:35:06 INDEX 01 31:39:07 TRACK 06 AUDIO TITLE "Concerto For 3 pianos & orch. in f major K242 Rondo" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 38:46:07 INDEX 01 38:50:07 TRACK 07 AUDIO TITLE "Fantasia in F minor K608 Allegro ritenuto" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 44:06:07 INDEX 01 44:10:07 TRACK 08 AUDIO TITLE "Fantasia in F minor K608 andante" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 47:16:11 INDEX 01 47:20:12 TRACK 09 AUDIO TITLE "Fantasia in F minor K608 Allegro ritenuto" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 51:38:66 INDEX 01 51:42:67 TRACK 10 AUDIO TITLE "Andante and variations for four hands in G major K 501 Andante" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 54:15:11 INDEX 01 54:19:12 TRACK 11 AUDIO TITLE "Andante and variations for four hands in G major K 501 Variation 1" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 55:27:54 INDEX 01 55:31:55 TRACK 12 AUDIO TITLE "Andante and variations for four hands in G major K 501 Var. 2" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 56:33:21 INDEX 01 56:37:22 TRACK 13 AUDIO TITLE "Andante and variations for four hands in G major K 501 var. 3" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 57:36:71 INDEX 01 57:40:72 TRACK 14 AUDIO TITLE "Andante and variations for four hands in G major K 501 var. 4" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 58:37:39 INDEX 01 58:41:40 TRACK 15 AUDIO TITLE "Andante and variations for four hands in G major K 501 var. 5" PERFORMER "Mozart" INDEX 00 60:01:11 INDEX 01 60:05:12 |

I never used Monkey Audio, so I cannot be of further help. See HydrogenAudio's Lossless Codecs forum if the above does not solve your problem.

Thanks. I've got this: CDImage.wav CDImage.cue Both reside in the same directory. Apparently the cue sheet matches the aforementioned. Maybe they're corrupt. Take a look and let me know what you think. If I missed something also let me know. Thanks for answering. ![]()

Never mind. I found the way: Using foobar http://www.foobar2000.org/download.html If you ask what kind of error it was, beats me. I just located the cue using Nero but an error ocurred. The same with feurio. For general purposes it's a good idea when a ape-cue error occurs to try this program foobar. Anyways, thanks Never_Again. ![]()

Do you mind telling us to whom are you referring to? If someone comes here and asks about something he hasn't a clue about, like ape and cue files it's polite to give an explanation before labeling someone retard. Yes, I opened the cue file, and changed it to .wav. Maybe the file itlsef is corrupt. ![]()

| Re: ape/cue error You have to change it to WAV, and have your decoded WAV file in the same folder as the CUE. Or obviously the best way to do things is to use a program like Foobar which isn't so retarded and actually supports compressed audio + cue. |
