CloneCD and regenerate data sectors

Someone kindly explain what "regenerate data sectors" and it's purpose?

This is for regenerating the ecc ata of the cd you wanna copy. Use it only if the original cd is scratched or something. It will make the reading speed a bit longer...

After scanning C@C Red Alert 2, C@C Renegade, Madden 2002 with ClonyXXL, prog suggests reading with "regenerate data sectors" for SD2. Is this really needed for Safedisc 2.0-2.51?

Nope it's not necessary .. actually as i have already stated it will only slow down the reading process for about 20-30%.

Use it only if you have to
