Strange problem - reading and possibly burning

I have 2 dvd drives and today I noticed that my first one seems to be able to write dvds but not read them.

Things it writes passes verification with nero, and to do that it must be able to read, but it just shows whatever DVDs insert as blank, but my other one can read it.

And i notice some weird errors in the burn log.

I'm writing some important stuff so I want to know it is writing 100% properly and was wondering if anything was obviously wrong that could affect reading.

Here is the burn log, thanks if anyone can help:

The BENQ DVD DC DW1670 are the two dvd drives, the others are virtual.

Re: Strange problem - reading and possibly burning

Hi,

Is this media more suitable for writing?

"Media Specific [16..63]:
00 30 01 02 04 06 00 00 - 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 .0..............
00 02 FE 10 00 02 FF A0 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................"

My first drive still cant read it, is there anything else obviously wrong with the burn log?

I suspect I will need to replace the dvd writer.
