| 'Shimmering' problem with Nero 7. When burning DVDs lately with Nero 7 Premium Reloaded, I get a strange 'shimmer' on any moving object. It doesn't happen on more static footage, but if something moves more than slowly, its horizontal segments seem to slide apart slightly. It's visible whilst Nero transcodes the mpeg2, and is still there on the burnt DVD when played elsewhere. I'm using the latest Nero 7 update, but have noticed this sometimes on earlier releases too. It happens even when the mpeg2 file is just 1 hour/1.7Gb or so, so I don't think it's some artifact of compression to fit the 4.7Gb DVD-R. I know some rude things are said about Nero 7 lately, but surely this should not happen? |

| Re: 'Shimmering' problem with Nero 7. Yes, I gathered that much, so why is Nero making a mess of transcoding it? I've just found a near-identical complaint here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=222376 I know nothing's perfect, but surely Nero should work better than this?! |
