Patch for Nero 60015 overburn bug - Club CDFreaks

Hi all,
I found a patch that comes from Ahead to fix the bug in Nero 60015, where you can't overburn
Bassicaly waht the patch does is replace the nero.exe with a new one (no version change) - and it really works !
Unfortunately, I got the patch from a private individual's page, and he's no suspended - I guess thousends of people tried to get it from him. The strange thing is that I can't find the patch on Ahead's site.

Get it while the page lasts, and please upload it somewhere else because it's not available on Ahead yet.

I found the patch on another forum , but the link died soon after, so I posted myself on geocities. However, the account is limited in bandwidth, so only a few people a day can DL it. It's active right now. I'll keep sharing it on emule untll the next version of nero.

These guys from Ahead are very funny

A guy from the support team said in this forum that they would not release a fixed version before the scheduled release. But they made a quick patch... So, why not release a fixed version? They are really stubborn

I would be sceptical of installing it without anything from them. Especially as it does not seem to be available from theit site or ftp

I´ve installed it without no problems, but i use winrar to extract the file (i was affraid what could happen).
So do this:
1-extract the zip, so you get an exe file
2-extract the exe with winrar to get nero.exe file.
3-Manually, make a backup of the original nero.exe file (with anything goes wrong), then copy the new one to nero folder.

In the files properties, i´ve notice that the patch uses an old compiled version. The original nero archive is v6.0.0.15b compile. The patch comes with v6.0.0.15 compile.

I applied the patch to Nero 6015 and burned a DVD with my Plextor 708U and got the same error as without the patch:
it can't finalize the DAO disc.
I returned to 6011 and everything worked fine again.

That's right. The patch does not address the overburn issue. It is as yet not known what it fixes. For those of you still wanting to download the patch, go to http://www.cdrsoft.cc/index3.html and download it, it will be there for eternity.

well I went back to 5.5.10.42 for the time being ...when 6 is fixed I'll reinstall and update it to the latest ver.

I don't burn DVDs so I can't coment on that, but the patch does fix the CDR overburn bug. I have tried it on 4 desktops and one notebook, and it works on all.

The patch solves the problem that nero claims the disk is to small even if it is large enough. I had this problem with a 796 MB SVCD mpeg file and solved it with the patch available here: http://www.wonderboard.de/modules.ph...ticle&sid=3233

This link was allready posted by snout in this thread but had a trailing ':' from a smily so it did not work.

Cause i can´t overburn with vision express.....

I returned to 6011 and everything worked fine again. __________________ Plextor PX 504A, P4 3,1 GHz and a Plextor 708 UF!
