Can I install & use the Nero Ultra 6 copy I just bought on both of the PCs I have at home, or only on one of them?

I'd stick with your second answer. I have 1 license on 2 desktops and a laptop. But they are my personal computers so there's no problem.

If that staement is written to the T, then I missread the article. I learn somthing new everyday on this forum and that;s why it's great. As for against forum rules, if this is the case I certainly appologize. I surely don't want to over step the rightfull bounds. I'll consider the case closed. But thanks for the feedback.

Well, not that I read the forum rules actualy, but I understand that there's to be no discussion of, or providing of instruction as to how to steal software, video, audio or other copyrighted and / or patented product here, as it would stand to reason. People that do that are the one's that threaten the ability of people like myself and the rest of the honest people here, to be able to BACK UP our softwares and media. However, I'd like to state simply that, I shouldn't think that discussing an End Users Licencing Agreement to determine what it means, and what it's telling us we can, and can NOT do should violate any rule of conduct.

Many software manufacturers, Microsoft for one, make provisions for many apps to be run on computers in two locations when both machines are used exclusively by the same user at different times. The prase, "... as a book, like a book," was one of the simplest and earliest used to discribe the scenerio. As an example:

Let's say you use Microsoft Office at work, but there's some project you're also working on at home for your compmany. Are you to lug your desktop machine back and forth to your home? NO. Microsoft understands that you are not using the software in two locations at the same time, and that that software was purchased for you to use in doing your job. If someone was using MS-Office on your computer at the office while you were also using MS-Office at your home, however, this would violate the terms of the EULA because you can't both read the same copy of the book, so to speak, while several miles apart.

I don't beleive that MS offers that type of licencing for Operating Systems, however. Each software manufacturers EULA can very widly as well, so read it carefully. If you're still in doubt, (reading a EULA can be a daunting task, and trying to UNDERSTAND it is sometimes another matter unto itself!), contact the company and ASK. Certainly if what you want to do requires purchase of an additional license acording to their product's EULA, they'll be HAPPY to tell you so, and help you place your order too! lol
