Nero 7.2.0.3b Install Errors During the install of Nero 7.2.0.3b it will throw the following errors (see image): ![]() The errors will occur in order from top to bottom of the image above. It seems that the DllRegisterServer has something to do with it and *.dll registration problems, I just don't understand it. The good thing is the install completes and nero seems to work fine or does it? Prior to attempting to install the Nero 7 Demo I uninstalled version 6 and ran all the clean tools offered by nero (which are horrible, made-to-screw-up-your-computer-so-you-spend-lots-of-time-fixing-the-mess cleaning tools) and I tested the MD5 checksum and it all checked out. I tried to disable firewalls, turn off antivirus programs, and the like, but still would get those errors every time. Hope someone can help...

Re: Nero 7.2.0.3b Install Errors Don't blame everything on Nero look for problem in your system you can't have so many programs running on the background and then expect that Nero installation or Nero operation is smooth. Do the following: 1) Completely deactivate your "Firewall & Antivirus" programs. 2) Uninstall any Nero by using Nero Clean Tools 3) Manually remove Nero from your "C\All Program" 4) Manually remove Nero from folder "C\Document and Setting\User\Local Setting\Temp\Nero 5) Do clean install of Nero latest version. Good Luck

Re: Nero 7.2.0.3b Install Errors Mike I feel your pain but some how Nero can't get their act together and get it right at once. If you design the software program too sophisticated and complex chances are that the program become buggier and dysfunctional that is hard to get it corrected.

Re: Nero 7.2.0.3b Install Errors Excellent suggestion allxsan! I got Nero 7.2.0.3b to install flawlessly this time around! This is what I did: Remove Nero 7.2.0.3b from Add/Remove Programs, reboot. After startup locate the “ahead” key in the registry. The ahead key can be found by typing “regedit” without quotes into the Run program. Then locate [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ahead]. Change write/read permissions to that key by right clicking on “ahead” then locate and click “permissions…” in the drop down menu. The “Permissions for ahead” dialog box will appear. What I did now since I have an administrative account was to click on my user name under the “Groups or user names:” section and change “Full Control” and “Read” to “Allow” then click Apply and Ok; these are located under the “Permissions for User Name” where User Name is your user name for the account on your computer. I also set the System user’s Full Control and Read to Allow as well. Once your user account has full permission to write/read to that key go ahead and reinstall Nero and it should work. If it fails again set all the Groups or user names to Allow for Full Control and Read. Nero Vision still has a conflicting issue with McAfee Antivirus, where the program will just not boot, hopefully on next patch this issue will be fixed.
