Re: Lightscribe

Are you using Lightscribe-compatible discs (and not inkjet printables for example)? Lightscribe images are essentially black and white (printed on a golden - or more recently also colored - background).

Re: Lightscribe

And you are flipping them around in the drive for labeling? (just making sure)

Re: Lightscribe

http://www.lightscribe.com/

I'd download the SureThing 4 SE package along with the latest driver, latest Contrast Enhancement utility and see how that works.

I have not had as good of luck with Nero, but SureThing works great.

BTW, they have a really nice label gallery you can get test images from:

Strongbox is my fave, I think, for general labeling.

Re: Lightscribe

Well, you don't have to use B/W images, but LS doesn't print in color. The "color" is provided by the labeling surface only. Only recently colored discs, other than the well known golden, have been introduced (you'll find a review about them here on CDFreaks).

If Nero shows no errors (you do get the Lightscribe icon in Nero, right?), then there may be a problem with your drive. You can try updating to the latest LS System Software from lightscribe.com (if you don't already have).
