It would be nice when every time there is an update you don't have to download the whole program. Some people still use dialup. Twice I've had the program downloaded with bits missing and I use a download manager.

When converting to an mp4 file in Nero Recode the only media output option is a single 80 minute CD or a 4.7GB dvd. It would be nice to have an option to split to 2 or 3 cd's. This would be similar to the option in Dr Divx.

I have not yet got the power or knowledge to add to your guides but as a complete and utter novice I would love to get hold of a step by step (idiots) guide to importing, shrinking and burning onto DVD as I have movies on DVD I would like to back up. I have DVD shrink 3.1, Nero 6 Ultra, an NEC 2510A burner aquired 2 days ago (in and working, apparentely). why is it when i burn a video to dvd the picture is really bad and small ..not like when i view it on my tv..sorry i am new to this stuff

I would like a feature that would tell you in the event of a read error, and give you the opportunity to take out the offending disc and clean it and try again.

I wouldn't say this thread is a smart idea! - let AHEAD fix their core bugs first before fumbling around with new features producing even more problems. This forum here is the living proof that there is allot wrong especially with Nero. An old engineering adage tells "don’t add any new feature(s) to a software when there is even a single problem/bug left in the core application since you are going to drown in problems"

My case has a door that closes over the DVD drives.

Either in addition to or instead of the option Do not eject the disc after the burn is complete, I would like a Never auto-eject disc option.

Even with the current option, I'm forced to always leave the case door open when burning because if Nero thinks there isn't enough room it auto-ejects the disc (into the door).

Nero tells you the type of error when copying a disc, whether it be a power calibration error, error reading data or just error writing to disc. But if it says 'error reading data', than that might be an indication to clean the source disc.

You can add allsorts of video files to a compilation in NeroVision Express 2 and you can create menus too. Lots of other options to have a play around with.

The only thing I would like to see is as well as having buttons to put in the menus, how about a text option? I think compilations would look more professional if they had clickable text instead of buttons.

Bring back 32-character volume names for DVDs. I'm about to dump 6.3 for this exact reason!

Well, don't know why but Nero simply hangs my system at the beginning of the burning for several seconds depending on the size of what i burn. Should be fixed i think. And why is it taking so much time to stop burning on user command. Takes a while. CloneCD is much faster.
What i would like to see is not a new feature but a new programme. There should be NERO LITE. I mean i never use the cover designer, the Nero Express, tha wave editor and the soundtrax. The lite should include the essentials in a OPTIMIZED compilation.
OR THE LEAST!!!: users should be able to choose which component they want to install.
Oh, one more thing. It seems to me that NERO scans my drive slower. On Intel based systems it seems to scan much faster. Just for info my motherboard is Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2. If the problem is in Nero - it should be fixed.
BTW: Does it matter what we write here. Are the guys from Ahead going to know what we want and what not. Hope they read this.

I think the problems you're having aren't really problems with the Nero software, but a problem with your system. When a program 'hangs' it's normally because of a lack of memory. I use just about the whole Nero 6 package and I don't have those problems which would suggest that you could do with some more RAM. Technical issues should be posted in the appropriate forum.

I would like to have the "lead outs" burn simulteneously instead of one after another when I do multiple burns.

I normally burn 3 DVDs at once. They do the main burn at once, but then I have to wait while each leadout is burned one after another -- a waste of time.

does ahead have more premade cd covers? also how about a cd cover that will write mp3 titles {like a booklet maybe}

For Nerovision: The ability to play a short (or any length) video clip BEFORE the first menu apears. Most "professionally" authored DVDs have such a feature; why not with Nero? (Roxio does)

I would like to see the Ultrabuffer size increased beyond 80 megabytes.

I usually burn 3-4 DVDs at 8x at once (Nero 6xxx.25.) Occasionally, durning burns, the "read position" on one of the drives eventually lags far enough behind the others that all of the buffer is eaten up, resulting in "pumping" and poor quality burns.

The ultrabuffer size has stayed at 80 megs for some time now, even though the maximum meg/second burn speeds have more than doubled on DVDs compared to what they used to be on CD-Rs. Memory has also gotten a lot cheaper. (I have 1 gig)

Some DVD "dupicator" multiburners now advertize 120 meg buffers. If I had that much ultrabuffer memory available, it would probably solve all my buffer related problems.

I think that the Menu creation system in Nero Express should allow more freedom. For instance, it is impossible at the moment, to author a 'professional' looking DVD with NE.
I really don't like having DVD's where the first thing you see is all of the clips laid out. At least let us put a few Menu's first.
A fix for that annoying crash when importing video that NE doesn't like, would be great too. Or at least an error message :-S

I would like Nero "Verify" when producing an Image and when burning an Image to disc.

I would like to see a good DVD Audio Extraction feature in Nero, if possible. I would love to listen some of my music DVD's in the car, especially when I am travelling.

* Nero Cover Designer does not allow you to create a folded (2 pages side-by-side) booklet.

* Nero Burning ROM does not allow to create multiple links for the same file in a single session or DAO CD. That is, I want to have the same large file to appear with different names and/or in different directories without burning the same data of the file more that once.
