Burner Stopped Working

Hi have searched the net high and low and can't figure out why my burner stoppded working. I am using a Lite-On LH-20A1S burner with Nero Ultra 7. I have had several successful burns with the same brand DVDs but now it doesn't work. My burner is fairly new so I doubt it is bad. It reads dvds/cds but stops buring midway through. I updated firmware but still nothing. He's my nero log:

Re: Burner Stopped Working

Here's a few things, but I am not saying these are all, because I am not all that familiar with Nero7 logs.

First thing I would do unless you really need it is get rid of InCD. You could probably find the Nero clean tool from their site.

The second is, updating your version of Nero7, download to your PC & install, (do not touch InCD).

http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-up.php

Media widely recommended around here & most other places would be Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. General rule of thumb for burning would be half the rated speed of the blank media, (16x burn at 8X etc). If you wish to take Nero out of the equation, you could use ImgBurn & if that fails, post that error log.

Can you burn something that you burned before that worked ? Or are you trying something different here that's not working ?

get rid of incd ( headache, headache ) use there tool to get rid of it it's the only way to be sure it's all gone.It will haunt you.

Try imageburn it's free so a good way to test if it's the software.
Let us know what happens.

happy burning

Re: Burner Stopped Working

Tried Image Burn, no luck, got half way through then stopped. However, I was able to burn data cd, so I am pretty sure has something to do with software or drivers. I updated all my software, chipset drivers. I downloaded adaptec aspi checker and it said I had no working aspi. I am not sure if it only checks adaptec aspi or all aspi but I checked my nero drivers and aspi is there. I installed adaptec aspi, and still no luck. I don't know if this helps or not but sometimes it will start to burn then fail and sometimes fail before anything is written on dvd. I have tried other brand dvds too and still fail.
Thanks beef and bean for the comments, I appreciate the brainstorming, hopefully I will hit on something that works.

Have you tried burning at a lower speed, showing 16x . A lot of us burn at half the rated speed so 16x disc at 8x, and so on.

Can you post that imageburn log ?

If you have been burning fine and have not loaded anything lately that would change the drivers then there is a good chance that is not the problem.

What are you trying to burn? Movie ? Data ?
Did you get a bad Disc?

Really need more info to help.

As recommended by others, try better media, although you've,
