Time for a CD Freaks Review of the LDW-411s ! - Club CDFreaks

This will be a big seller and as its hitting the stores everywhere right now ....and as we know how popular Liteon drives are how about a review on it .

........seeing as no one else has reviewed it yet.

Looking forward to a good read

1: We have already requested a review sample.
2: Our contact person would not have any samples ready to be shipped before early next week.
3: Shipping + customs from NL to Norway will take about a short week
4: I'll use about 1,5-2 Weeks to review it. (you want a good review...not a quick review....nope, can't have both

)

So the review should be here in 3-4 weeks, depending on when Lite-On ships and how long the shipping takes...

Maybe we could better skip the 411s and directly proceed to the 811s

When the review is ready, the 811s will probably be priced equally to the 411s. Just look at the price difference between 401s and 411s at the moment - maybe 10$/EUR.

OC-Freak, we trust you.
Take all the time you need to prepare a complete review of the 411s.
Lite-on technicians must read it very carefully and learn from their initial mistakes.

1: Basically my reviewsample did not work as it should (problems reading DVD's, even pressed ones).
2: These problems got fixed with firmware FS0F released on Friday.....
3: Which means I was able to start on the review late on friday (2 days ago)

Well I doubt most people order online, commercial sales usually are the bulk of profit for companies, and with commercial retailers such as Wal-Mart stocking the burners, I'd say they have a fair shot at decent sales.

Example: 401S is selling now for approxiamately $99, and the 411S for $144. Just over a month ago, the 401S was that price at Wal-Mart.

Best Buy hasn't even gotten the 401S in yet, but they are selling rebranded BusLink & Norcent 4XDVD+R/RW drives for $129, and they have the 401S listed on their site as "Coming Soon" for $179.

LOL, Go Figure That One Out!!!
