LiteOn / PLDS/ Sony Burner Discuss, Standalone doesn't like +Rs? at CD and DVD Burners forum; So, I thought I'd go with the flow and try burning some +Rs for a change. However, my Samsung DVD player doesn't seem to like them, even when the booktype is to DVD-ROM. Has no trouble with -Rs though. Is this a common problem or a reflection

Standalone doesn't like +Rs?

So, I thought I'd go with the flow and try burning some +Rs for a change.
However, my Samsung DVD player doesn't seem to like them, even when the booktype is to DVD-ROM.
Has no trouble with -Rs though.
Is this a common problem or a reflection of the media that I am using (which I must confess is just a cheap spindle that I picked up at the markets)?

Re: Standalone doesn't like +Rs?

Could be the media quality like mentioned. I bought some cheapo's (OPTODISC OR8) 8x dvd+r. They would not play on my standalone Mintek 1600 until i changed the bookmark type to dvd-rom. But looks like the media you have might be too cheap.
