Well, i have an Ahtec signal 810m laptop (rebranded arima) with a sony dw q58a burner on it.
This drive won't read copied DVDs at all. It'll only read original CDs and DVDs and copied CD's, but not a single copied DVD.
Also, it never let me boot up from winxp installation disc. I had to reinstall the whole system, and in order to do it, had to buy an external USB DVD-RW drive (samsung). I've tried the very same copied discs on this external drive, and they all read just fine, but not on the sony q58a.

Does any1 have any idea of what might it be?

I've been reading and trying to work this out for several months already and nothing seems to work.
I've just patched it up to uys4 (today) and it didn't work as well.
