| Sony DVDRW DW-D56A Will not read CDs, but will read DVDs Hello all, I have flashed to the latest version using dell's update tool. I'm having trouble reading and writing to CDs, but can read DVDs just fine. Dell support told me to reformat, but there's no way that doing that will help in any way - especially since I can hear the drive trying to find the CD. I have tried multiple Cds so I know it is not just the one or two I have tried. The weird thing is that it will read DVDs, but is having major trouble with CDs. My machine is out of warranty so I can't even get Dell to replace it for free. Any ideas on what the problem/solution would be? Thanks for any help in advance. |
