| SONY DVD-RW DRU 810A not wanting to work...help me please! (new to this forum so forgive me...) I've had this drive for a while and switched it from an old computer to this one and it worked fine for a while with no problems. Then one day it decides not to burn anything for me whatsoever and I go and find that my problem is the computer reads it only as a CD-Rom drive for whatever reason. Now its not even wanting to open when I push the button manually, and when I go to use the emergency eject hole to open it, that works but now its not even reading CDs. Any ideas on what I should do before going and pulling the hardware out and seeing that all the cables are connected right? |

| Re: SONY DVD-RW DRU 810A not wanting to work...help me please! i guess you could uninstall it from the Device Manager and see what happens. If not, it may be going out like my 1635S is. I can burn DVDs all day. Just not CDs. |
