| SOHW-812S Write speeds So far I tried the following methods. 1. Creating an image and writing at 4x speed. 2. Creating an image and writing at 2.4x speed. I don't really notice a difference. The media I'm using is Ritek G04s. When I use a cheaper brand of media, if I burn at 4X, a data disc is not recognized by my DVD reader but it is fully functional with my writer. If I backup a DVD at 4X, it won't read in my reader but it will play on a standalone player. Do you think I need a new dvd reader? What speed do you burn or recommend? Thanks! |

| Re: SOHW-812S Write speeds Pick your media carefully. As princos etc can produce unreadable discs. Ritek G04s can vary in quality as well. The reader may just not like burnt dvds as well. if the writer can read them then thats good  |
