Sims Hot Date Success w Clone CD

System
WinXP
Athlon 1Ghz latest VIA drivers
Liteon 24 10 40 secondary master
CloneCD 3341 Trial

80 Min Princo 24x CDR
Settings:
Read Max
FES on
0 retries
Hardware correction

Write Max
BurnProof on
Close final session on

Thats it a Perfect copy. The Litey is a great little drive.
I also tested it with SubChannel on, Amplify weak sectors,4x read/write and 4 retries . It works but is not necessary at all.

I used that as a test and tried everything (I thought), as it appeared as though it was unable to back it up. Was looking like 10 coasters. Then I found out how to change my OS region, and was then able to us CloneCD "hide media type" feature. Turns out all 10 were fine, and perfect backups, using many different speeds and settings in CloneCD. They just didn't like my DVD-Rom drive, or the LiteOn without hide media selected.

Thanks very much, I used my new 32 speed litey and all went well first time. The only thing I noticed was it will not play back on the litey for some reason or my mate's philips cdrw but works fine on normal drives.
Thanks very much for the tips, we can put the original away now to avoid scratches.
Keep up the good work!!

Well, enable "Hide CD-R media" in the CloneCD tray icon and you should be able to play the backup in CD-RW drives also.

it works....

You guys on this forum never cease to amaze me. I followed the instructions and sure enough....it works. First copy is now in the trash and new copy is being used, meanwhile the original sits in it's prety red case on a shelf thankful it is not recieving the bashing the kids used to give it.
Thanks again....

To change the regional settings:
go to start/settings/control pannel/ regional settings then change to canada - english and then apply.
This will not harm your system!
