| Re: Which should I get Lite-on DH-20A3P or the DH-20A4P ? I also asked the same question not too long ago. Q: http://club.cdfreaks.com/1949555-post592.html A: http://club.cdfreaks.com/1949563-post593.html So basically if you like to flash the drive firmware with more frequent test firmwares, burn and test various media for the forums then get the DH-20A3P. It is a better drive for CD/DVD freaks in that there is more experimentation going on with it in the forums, thanks to Wind ![]() If you just want to straight-up burn discs, get the DH-20A4P. The DH-20A4P also has unofficial firmware like the DH-20A3P for faster burns and other features located here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f44/liteon-...rmware-231875/

| Re: Which should I get Lite-on DH-20A3P or the DH-20A4P ? I just want to straight-up burn discs, I don't want to fiddle with firmware stuff unless it really needs it. I went to the lite on web site and theres no firmware update for the DH-20A4P yet. So if theres none there then I don't want to mess with that stuff and the firmware that DH-20A4P has now is good. |

| Re: Which should I get Lite-on DH-20A3P or the DH-20A4P ? Oh i'm sure it's possible. I have both and just leave them the way they are. For me they are 2 excellent Verb +R DL burners. In combination with ImgBurn that is. Thank you LUK! |

| Re: Which should I get Lite-on DH-20A3P or the DH-20A4P ? I agree. Go for A4P if you want no frills. Even though it's able to be crossflashed, most people wouldn't want to do so. The A3P is a perfectly good drive, but it has some quirks with the various firmwares that might annoy the average user. DL burns seem to fail more often, and there is the issue that some have with their drives just stopping mid-burn, never to issue an error or anything.

| Re: Which should I get Lite-on DH-20A3P or the DH-20A4P ? I would definitely go for an A4P rather than an A3P. Besides being a newer drive, A4P also has the added advantage of being capable of Jitter scanning (unlike the A3P drives) ... just to mention another reason to go for the A4P other than the ones already mentioned in this thread ... |
