| Problem since computer upgrade I generally use latest CloneCD or Blindwrite (latest versions) to make back ups of protected software. Since upgrade of mobo, processor and OS I'm burning coasters with my LTR-52246S. Even games that I copied easily before - example, Half-Life I don't think it's an operating system fault as I dual boot XP with 98 and I can't copy disks as I used to with 98 either. That leaves some kind of software or hardware problem. I have now got an XP2600 on a Asus A7N8X mobo with 1 gig of 2700 Ram. I have all drivers up to date as far as I know. I suspect hardware as CloneCD burns a HL coaster as well. Here is the errror report I keep getting from Blindwrite... ***----- Image verification started -----*** HD image is OK Sector: Bad headers 0 - Bad Edc 0 - Weak 0 - Status 1 File systems: Volumes 2 - files 0 - folders -56 Volume size 356850 boot 0 Vol ID HALFLIFE - 09/11/1998 20:43:23 Status 0 ***----- Image verification ended -----*** Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 (Build 2600) Patin-couffin version 12 in use Blindwrite Version 4.5.1.69 ***----- CD DEVICE INFO START OF REPORT -----*** CAUTION : Using local data for CD writer. Where do I go from here please? Thanks if you got to the end of this probably overlong post!!! |

| Yes it did! The option it offered me every time was SAO cooked so that is what I used. (Unsuccessfully) Changing to and using Using DAO pw did the trick! Thanks again. Strange, but I'm 99% positive I used SAO cooked before? ![]() |
