| Pixelation and other issues with burned dvds ..........and excellent scans, 95-98% quality Nero cd-dvd Speed, the movies play fine in some standalones but very bad in others, any ideas? Im using RICOHJPNR01@4x and SonyD11@4x, with my SOHW-1633S@ 1653 CS0k.....thanks.... regards |

| Re: Pixelation and other issues with burned dvds I have been using Taiyo Yuden discs from day one, and have occasionally found them to be pixellated in certain standalones, I attribute it to a weak or poor laser. Probably the same reason you are experiencing this as well. MYM |

| Re: Pixelation and other issues with burned dvds If you are burning +r media try setting booktype to DVD-Rom. I had one stand alone that did the same thing until I started burning as DVD-Rom. there is a booktype utility at Lite-ons website http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/English/.../e_utility.asp. Once you set it, select save this setting and if will always burn +r as DVD-Rom.

| Re: Pixelation and other issues with burned dvds In my experience, the worser the quality of a standalone dvd player, the more likely burnt dvd's will pause, skip, pixelate, or just down and out won't play. Like people say about puchasing CRAP media - DON'T Therefore the same should naturally apply to standalone players.
