Hello to everyone,i have a small problem and maybe someone migh be able to help me.My Sony DVD RW DW-Q30A is suddenly not reading any data from any given DVD or CD.I checked the Drive from System information all seems okay.Does any body have any idea what i can do,as i was using it just the day before were i both installed and copied on CD and DVD.Help please.Thank You for any information.

Could be what you installed interfered.

That said, sometimes going into Device Manager and deleting all the IDE devices, then deleting the IDE controller itself and rebooting, allowing the items to be re-discovered, can shock things back into their proper config. I've had to do it a few dozen times over the years and it seems to work well.
