Hy,
could anyone explain me as a DVD-Newcommer the difference between the burners 811, 851, 812. The 811 and 851 seems to have the same technical data?

Hi.
811 n 851 have the same specifications but diferent parts. Same with 411 n 451.
812 writes dvd-r/+r at 8x n dvd-rw/+rw at 4x.

811 = first 8x DVD+R release
851 = bugs fixed / better or cheaper lens (unsure).
812 = Newest offering.

For preference 812, then 851, and last 811.

Or you could buy a 411 and use a mod to get it upto an 811.
I didn't just say that though, did I? :|
