Re: liteon firmware hack to copy securom > 4.77 like plex premium ? No background emulation tools used. No AutoPlay or anything. PLays on all 7 drives I own. Basically, a perfect copy. Blindwrite is just like that, best software for SecuRom.

Re: liteon firmware hack to copy securom > 4.77 like plex premium ? Oh that's very interesting. I had no luck with BW5. I will try with blindwrite 4.2.5 as it's suggested in the blindwrite forum. What settings did you select in both blindread and blindwrite ? Did you read the cd with your burner and what speed at ? What speed for burning ? Did you use BWA Builder/TwinPeak ? Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: liteon firmware hack to copy securom > 4.77 like plex premium ? YAY !!! I could make a 1:1 copy of securom 4.84, finally !!! I knew it was a writing problem as the image file was working with daemon tool wih no emulation. I had to give back the cd to my brother so I only had the blindwrite5 image file, done with all the blindwrite5 default settings (@ max speed) but the .B5T topology file was there, with 100% quality. What I did is installing blindwrite 4.2.5 and make an disk image of the secu 4.84 game (with subcodes) (from daemon tool virtual drive) and grapped the .bwa from internet as I didn't know how to convert bt5 => bwa. After that I burned the image file with blindwrite raw pw, amplify weak sectors UNchecked, 4x speed (but it was really burning @ 8x), and checked the box to use the .bwa file. The game works fine on all my computers @ home, with different specs and no emulation. Now why is it working with blindwrite 4.2.5 and not with blindwrite 5 ? I think it's because blindwrite 5 use twinpeak before burning the image, and the liteon probably doesn't need it and can write the image file without any sectors correction just like the plextor premium does. That's what I think, I'm not an expert @ all but I think there is the problem : liteon doesn't need twinpeak, it can burns the image directly without any corrections before.
