1st : For The Recored Frank-----> U need to adjust the settings shown in the picture in ur CDSpeed Program for us to see the full content of the quality test

2nd: the best speed for u drive is to test at 8X Speed (also u can press the advanced button and check the show jitter (DVD) for more detailed test result)

3nd: from ur previous post it seems u have a problem with the burst ratein the TRT ( supposed to be around 30MB for IDE Drives and around 50 MB for the sata drives) u should check ur upper and lower class filters using :

"busTRACE Technologies LLC - Filter Driver Load Order

This application shows you which filter drivers are being specified for your Disk Drives and CD/DVD Drives. This includes displaying class filters as well as device filters. The information is retrieved from the registry.

http://www.bustrace.com"

i had a smiler problem with the alcohol 120% filers

4th: the quality test result of the 2nd disk is very nice even for the elevated PIE Errors but still within Spec

I am about $1100 shy of the $1100 needed to purchase busTrace, however, ImgBurn has something under Tools -> Filter Driver Load Order that I think is the same thing. Here is what is says for the burner:

Re: LiteOn DH20A3 Test Firmware - Results & Discussion

Drive: 20A3P
Firmware: XV68-HT717
Settings: Everything ON
Media: Verbatim, Taiwan, MCC 004, #PAPA26MB...
Burn speed: 20x in 4:58
Scanned with: 20A3P

Everything seemed fine...until the drive spun down near the end.

I did remove the suspect filter however.

I turned on Jitter in DiscSpeed but it does not seem to do it.

EDIT: This Disc came from the "Good" batch too.
EDIT2: I just noticed that I did not reboot after removing the filter...might explain the problem

Better burn and better (?) scan. However, the benchmarking did not seem to improve

Hey frank try burning on the certified speed (16X MCC004)
and the curve in the end of the bench mark looks like ur drive is old and used too much or a problem i had using "MediaCodeSpeedEdit"
trying to increase the reading speed of my Pioneer DVR111L

But try burning at 16x and post some results may be the problem is the uncertified 20x speed u use which is never out of problems for me and may be every one else

Re: LiteOn DH20A3 Test Firmware - Results & Discussion

just noticed now that ur burst rate level didn't improve at all
this is a really annoying problem (the filtes Conflict) i had to reinstall my OS after a while of this problem cause it accumulated other ones

so my advice to try ur drive at one of ur friends PC's and test the burst level
as i said before it is supposed to be for
IDE: from 35 to 40 MB
sata from 55 - 60 MB

if it stays the same my be ur drive is a faulty piece of hardware
if it reports the right one may be u should reinstall ur OS

PS: u have to test ur friend's drive 1st to make sure he don't suffer the same prob

just noticed now that ur burst rate level didn't improve at all
this is a really annoying problem (the filtes Conflict) i had to reinstall my OS after a while of this problem cause it accumulated other ones...
I had this problem with one of my systems at one stage and it turned out to be "system32\wnaspi32.dll". Removing it or replacing it with the frogaspi version, fixed the problem.

Well, my computer does not have the wnaspi32.dll (XP SP2 32bit), but I will try the frogaspi and see if that helps.

Thanks
