| Lite-On LH-18A1P : Problems with Rewritable Media on standalone DVD player I bought a Lite-On LH-18A1P a couple of days ago to replace my old NEC 3500 drive. I've 4 rewritable Verbatim DVDs which I've used for a while now to write VIDEO files for playback on my standalone Divx DVD player. Never had much trouble playing any files on my player using theses media before. Since I've installed the new Lite-On drive though, every disc I've burnt has either started skipping or just stalled altogether. On a few occasions my DVD player has just skipped to the next file whilst playing. I've done a couple of scans. First scan was written on my new Lite-On drive, and playback is problematic on my standalone. Second one (same disc/data rewritten) was burnt with my old NEC 3500 drive, and plays back fine on my standalone. Any idea what the problem might be? DMA is on and set to UDMA 4 according to Windows Device Manager. |
