Suggestion 1: Ditch the Princo media. Get better media. Try Verbatim.

Re: LH-20A1H PMA update failure

download ck's ll0c fbl+eoht+eos firmware. (I use fbl+eoht, but I think just flashing the eoht one is the safest). download smartburn 3.2.0.0 (or whatever is the latest now). enable hypertuning and online hypertuning. see if the problem goes away. it looks like the drive is having a heck of a time with that media.

Hi Wallace, yes I know about the Princo media but I cannot find Verbs or TYs anywhere. I've been using Imation media (FUJIFILM03) before I discovered the Disc Quality scan and they were terrible . So I tried this Princo media and I think they are good. Look at the scan. Other media I can find is Memorex. Is this media good?

nothing wrong there. I think the biggest thing about princos were their large variability. one disc is good, but the next one might not be.

Where can I download the firmware? I have to use the Flash Utility or install it like regular firmware?

from this thread

the firmwares come with a flasher. you really only need to use the flash utility for cross flashing (with EEPROM utility) or backing up firmware. that said, I believe KL0N of 20a1p is newer....

Re: LH-20A1H PMA update failure

After searching on the internet, it seems to be that the problem was the disc. The lead-in area is blurry so I guess this was the problem. I have burnt another disc and it was fine . Thank you guys for the replies.
