| DO NOT try to upgrade your LTD163 I tried to flash my LTD163 with the new LTD165 firmware cos I was curious to what would happen...mtkflash went through the usual erase procedure about 4 times saying bank0,bank1,bank2 etc..........usually it only says 0+1......I tried to re-boot after the flash had finished and win xp refused to boot!!! it asked for the system disc heh heh!....I eventually opened the case and disconnected the ltd163 re-booted, made a new firmware floppy and reconnected the drive.........it reflashed with the GHR3 firmware ok and is back to its old self again..........................dave |
