| Consistent aborts using 411S USB external Just got a new 411S USB external, and my 5th DVD+R recording attempt has aborted halfway. I have tried both Nero 5.5 and Sonic MyDVD, and also tried a lower speed (2.4) using Nero. The Nero versio is ok according to the Nero website (but they dont mention USB, just 411S). I am using Memorex DVD+R 4x. Anyone has an idea what is going wrong? AS |

| Re: Consistent aborts using 411S USB external It would be more helpful if you could be more specific as to what error message you are getting. It might be a good idea to post the Nero log file as well. Have you tried using a different burning application before?

| Re: Consistent aborts using 411S USB external I haven't found anything that I cannot do with my 451S in a USB2.0 external enclosure. And I have tried most things.  I would also suggest you upgrade your firmware to the latest version...

| Re: Consistent aborts using 411S USB external I am using a 851s in an external USB2.0 enclosure, and have also had no problems. I am burning from a laptop, so defragging is very key! I have had more than one coaster becase my HD simply could not keep up with 8x DVD burning. |
