| booktype field I'm new to dvd burning, in fact so new, I haven't burned any dvd's... My drive is being delivered this week. lol. Anyway I've been looking through information about firmware's ect, and I was thinking about applying the booktype field patch, but the thought hit me... Does that void the drives warranty? I mean I know supported firmware updates are fine if they are unmodified and from the same manufacturer, but i don't see anything about modding the booktype field. Another question is, is there really any point because I commonly use nero 6.6 and that has the booktype field that I can change already in the program. |

| Re: booktype field liteon provides an own tool to change the booktype. you don't have to apply modified firmwares for this as the booktype, once set, will remain in the drive's memory.
