| Slow read speed I got a Plextor 24-10-40 and flashed it to 1.02 in hopes that the drive reads Safedisc 1 and 2 disc quickly, but no it took almost half an hour to read both the disc for Red Alert 2 (SD2) and 20 minutes to read Age of Empires 2 Expansion (SD1). The Fast Error Skip Settings were: Read retries:0 Error Correction:Software I lowered the read speed to 32x when reading SD2 protected CD.

| DMA is already enabled for my computer, but I was wondering if having Roxio installed will cause any conflict or problems?

| I have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.02c on my comp, no probs, also Nero Burning ROM 5.5.6.4, Padus DiscJuggler, CDRWIN 3.8F, CloneCD 3.3.2.1. All work together well I think. Plextor PleXWriter CD-R PX-W2410A 24/10/40 V1.02 Lite-On DVD-ROM LTD-163 VGH5E

| Try changing the FES settings to: Error correction: hardware (or none although none isn't recommended by Olli) Read retries: 0 And see how fast this goes.
