CMC-manufactured media from time to time has that issue with the higher PIE in the inner portion of the disc, even discs they make for Mitsubishi/Verbatim and TDK.

Not so thorough, not so sophisticated, but rather impressing

. I did not want to see the Sum1 etc. scans.

RITEKF1, sold as Fujifilm 16x DVD-R, burnt at 8x. Wonderful. And I am wondering why the trees are chopped in the rain forests ... Ritek definitely knows more about this.

This wasn't a completely filled disc though. I did another scan on a full disc, and that went horrible at the end. will try one again after this good result.

PRODISC R05 01 (DVD+R), sold as Fujifilm, 12x out of 16x

a) Burnt with PlexTools Pro XL v3.10. It stopped twice during the burn, producing one corrupt file. It reported it hadn't been able to create a new write strategy.

b) Burnt with ImgBurn v2.0. No stops, all files ok. No write strategy necessary.

I'm confused about the quality of this burn... I've attached all the info I could gather on it. Seems to have a high amount of PIF errors, but only shows up in log not in the graph!

This time burned @ 6x
this cause the 16x seemed a bit unreliable.

looks very nice, will have to see if this is consistent.

I got errors when trying to write to the supplied 16x DVD+R from Plextor. Attched is the error when verifying using Nero 6.6.1.4 I had not made any burns to this type MCC004 of media previously. I have had many burns using MCC003 media that had excessive PIF SUM1 errors also. Is it possible that my drive is bad?

I gathered some additonal info on the previously made burn... Very Interresting.
Beta jitter shows where error occurred.
PIO scan shows nothing out of ordinary.
Read transfer shows nothing out of ordinary..with either Plextools or Nero.
