Nero 6.0.0.15/5.5.10.50 and Plextor 708A problems - Club CDFreaks

I have tried to burn 2 different data DVDs with the newest version of Nero 6 on my Plextor 708A. I have tried speeds from 2.4x to 8x, with varying amounts of data in the burn. All burns have gone right to the end, then failed with this message:
Invalid Field Parameter
Could not perform end of Disk-at-once
Burn process failed

Any suggestions? Is this a known problem?

I had the same problem...went back to Nero 5.5.10.42 and it works like a champ! Burned two data DVD's and at least Three Movies...all in under 7:40 for the full disk burns...

Nero 6 is way too buggy...too many problems...check the forums at www.cdrlabs.com and you'll see a lot of issues with Nero 6

I can not burn DVR+R with Nero 5.5 and Nero 6.0. DVR-R, DVR-RW, DVR+RW work fine.

With EasyCD (5.5. and 6) I can burn DVD+R.

No idea what the problem can be. The burning fails at closing the disc. I used Ricoh and some other media. Alle the same problem.

Problem is, where do i get the upgrade or downgrade to 6.0.0.11.

My CD contains version 6.0.0.6.

On the Nero websit I can only download 6.0.0.15.

Has anybody the 6.0.0.11 update for me.

Thank for you advise, it now works.

I deinstalled Nero 6.0.0.15. I used the cleaning tools (you find them at their German Nero site http://www.nero.com/de/631938347293151.html), to be sure everything was deinstalled amd removed from the system.

After that, I reinstalled my Nero 6 (version 6.0.0.6 pn the CD). I had to look around to find version 6.0.0.11. I could download it from ftp.nero.com.

Now I could succefully burn a Platinum DVD+R (single or 2.4 speed version, I do not know) at around 2.7.

I hoop that Nero brings out an update on 6.0.0.15 soon. In general: performance etc. looks better. Pitty that they introduced a fault on DVD+R). The rest works ok.

I also have a problem like that

When I burn MMore 2x DVD-R it says

Thanks for the Info! Burned 2 coasters before I started looking around for an answer. Thanks for the 6.0.0.11 Link. I also found that the 4X TDK's they sell at Best Buy write at 8X.

Finally found the patch using googles translation tool and the link above. It does not work. I made another coaster. You still get the ,"connot complete end of disk at once."

I had no problem getting the file to work, I downloaded it and ran it but It did not fix the problem. Even with 6.0.0.15 and the 3.16 MB patch Applied you still run into the same poblems with DVD+R media.

The information I received is that this patch fixes the 'no overburning bug' and not the Plextor PX-708A DVD+R bug. More information on the patch is on our mainpage here.

For those of you who still have probs finalizing +R i found a workaround. Reinsert your 'coaster' and finalize it using DVDDecrypter. Just right click on Plextor... and choose close disk. 1 minute later your disc is ready to go!

That works great, Thanks... Now I need to try and figure out what to do with the extra Backups I have.

I had to close the track first then close the disk, But it still works and that's all that matters.
