| how to instal winxp with sata-dvdrom+pci sata controller?? I use my plextor 716sa with a sata pci controller but with it I CAN'T installa winxp bacause of bios don't detect my drive (through pci controlelr) to boot from the winxp cdrom MUST I USE EVERY TIME AN ATAPI CDROM WHEN I REINSTALL WINXP ? help!! |

| Re: how to instal winxp with sata-dvdrom+pci sata controller?? what's the chipset of the sata pci controller? not all pci controllers will work with dvd burners. do you have the bios settings for SATA enabled? some motherboards you have to set the bios to enable for SATA drives. it would be helpful if you give a bit more information about your computer such as what brand of motherboard you're using. it's not necessary for you to use a ADAPI CDROM when you want to reinstall xp.
