| cdrwin supported plextor burners I specifically went and bought a Plextor PX-800A burner because it is on the list of supported devises from Golden Hawk Tech. But after installation and after opening up CDRWIN the program says it doen't support reading cd+graphics (used for reading and burnring kareoke disks). My old PX-712A work perfectly for 2 years. But the PX-712A crapped out so I bought the new one. Does any one know if there is any way to make the PX-800A do this? As I said it's on the supported devise list and it's driving me crazy. |

| Re: cdrwin supported plextor burners I do not have special experience with CD+G, but it seems not every drive is CD+G capable! Read this: http://www.goldenhawk.com/faq_body.htm#cdg For example the Plextor Premium II supports CD+G: http://www.plextor.be/products/premi...ter%20Premium2 I did not found CD+G compatibility in the PX-800 specification: http://www.plextor.be/products/px-80...choice=PX-800A Since the PX-800 is not a real plextor (it is a rebadged drive, I guess NEC/Optiarc but I'm not sure) it may be possible the drive does not support CD+G. The Plextor PX-760A should support CD+G but this drives are very hard to find as new device and are very expensive in new condition since this drives were the last real Plextor drives! If you are doing more CD+G stuff I'd recommend a Plextor Premium II CD burner it is a great (and expensive) drive, but it is still available in stores and not sold out like the PX-760. I'd assume all real Plextor drives support CD+G, your PX-712 was a real Plextor drive. Here is a list of true Plextor DVD burners: http://club.cdfreaks.com/1941449-post39.html
