my Toshiba TS-L802A TO dont work with HD-DVDs, after a long time and birsd-singing from the drive i have a message "no disk in drive"

so i played with firmwares and burned TF32 to the drive. Now now way return i searched for a way to go return. nothing found..
but i want to flash the orginal firmware

Now i find a way to go to a other firmware versions and flash what i want

You need thef following things:
- a firmwareupgrade-tool where you can load an .bin file for update, like hp21 (sp36277.exe)
- the firmware upgrade .exe like L802A_RATO35.exe
- a hex editor, i prefered hiew

only go this way if you know what a hexeditor is !

Load the L802A_RATO35.exe into the hexeditor and search in hexmode Ascii TO35, after this you find the date from the firmware. Now look 48(30)hex before the TO35

mark now the block from 69 to a length with 2097152(200000hex) Bytes
save this block to to35.bin
load this .bin file into the upgradetool, now you see the new firmwareversion and date
burn and reboot and your drive has the new firmware.

Firmware can NEVER fix such issues.

Your drive is toast. Your only chance is to clean it.

i think so, but with the other firmware i cant change the drive. My Notebook Toshiba P200 is only 2 Month old, and comes with Vista. I changed to XP and tested a HD-DVD, it works, then i installed more software, all DVDs and CD are readed, then i want to look a HD-DVD and only long time waiting with no Disk in drive
I cant think the drive is damaged, but.....


I changed the firmware for test, then i found there is no way return..i readed also here from other guys they do the same and have the same problem. Now i searched a way to change the firmware to the orginal and found an easy way. I think i can help with this description other guys to flash the orginal firmware to there drive. I described a way that NOT only for this drive, all firmware updates from the same princip are working. The only thin is, you must find the binary firmwarefile in the Update
