TDK 32x10x40 turned 32x12x40 ?!

Hi folks!
This is my first thread so cheers everyone!!!
I upgraded my TDK 32x10x40B wiht the latest firmaware the X7S3, an for my suprise now it rewrites at 12 instead of the 10 max it was before the upgrade
It's official peolple 'cause i run several tests an the spedd indeed increased, so it's not only a buged firmware report that turned 10 in 12! I run it in several well known progs such as Nero 5.5, Furio!, ezcd 5 platinum, ezcd ripper, ezcd-da extractor and they all
besides the firmware report of 12x they all actually increased their recordind speed, 'cause the recording time decreased...
How this it happend? TDK doesn't mention any speed increment...
I just hope they send another firmware update to make my unit a 40x12x40, free of charge, lolol!
cheers!

How is this possible?

[edit]
Added the question: "How is this possible?"
Since that question pretty much covers your other post in the newbie forum (thus that other post got closed)

Your TDK is originally a LiteOn with the speeds 32x12x40x, that's why it can write at 12x.
I guess TDK has understood that limiting avalible speeds is bad and they just released a firmware which "restores" the drive to original speeds...

I salute TDK!

Did I answer your questions?
