| lil help for a un-enlightend? (aka newb) i've got a dvd/writer combo drive and it refuses to work in one of my laptops(HP), so far i've worked it out as a ide identification problem, the laptop wants a secondary master, it's a primary slave, any help on changeing it? it's model no is UJDA330 DL-Z any more specifics, just e-mail/msg me Thanks if you can gimme a hand AnsiS |

| Re: lil help for a un-enlightend? (aka newb) It might be possible to short pin 47 or something to set it to a specific IDE location. I've never had any reason to look into the details of this, but I think you will find info if you search.
