| Dead Matshita UJ 845S - any Chance to revive it? Im facin troubles with my Matshita UJ 845S...i've flashed it to death with matshitas win-flasher funny thing is it still insers and ejects discs and the led is flashing some time when inserting a disc; the drive is located at secondary master; neither windows nor bios gets the drive; no success with mtkflash and winmtkflash...don't think the drive is compatible with those tools...the drive is in built in a gericom notebook;any chances to bring it back to life... ![]() |

| Re: Dead Matshita UJ 845S - any Chance to revive it? @ohmss007 you'll find the firmware...including flasher (ldmulti...winflasher, dwl2 dos based flasher) at the firmware page; http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php; look for your drive in the download firmware section; still don't know if it does work for you; be careful with useless flashing just facing anothe problem with my mathita uj 845s; the drive is reconized in windows and bios; works in udma mode 4; it reads dvds, cd-roms and cd-audio; but doesn't burn correctly; i've reinstalled nero 7 several times, sometimes the burning works out fine at 8x, most times writing stops at 8% or something; tried different disks, no difference; in bios BOTH - harddisk and dvd-ram - primary master and secondary master are displayed using fpio 4/ dma 2; does this evoke some kind of hardware-conflict...can i change this? |

| Re: Dead Matshita UJ 845S - any Chance to revive it? Ultra DMA Mode 2 is okay. If the burn process stops a lot I would still guess bad or incompatible media. Try some Verbs or TYs! ![]()

| Re: Dead Matshita UJ 845S - any Chance to revive it? i flashed mt gericom Matshita UJ 845S with an exe (I got from http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.ph...&manufactor=18) d102. My system will not boot anymore. I suspect that I might have flashed it as a master drive. I there any possiblity of flashing the old firmware back. How can I do this. |

| Re: Dead Matshita UJ 845S - any Chance to revive it? disconnect the drive from the system, so you can boot again; then try to flash with winmktflash taking the RIGHT bin file, depending on the configuration of your drive; with the firmware comes a txt/info file that tells you the right bin file to flash with; when not sure about your configuration take a look at the ide configuration in bios |

The Toshiba firmware is not performing that well on my system either So how can I get the right firmware for my IBM T23? Is it possible to flash the firmware back to D100? The flash utility is not accepting any of the three .BIN I got from http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.ph...&manufactor=18 I don't get any information out of the BIOS - there's no drive listed at all. Who can help? There's not a single firmware for IBM NB at http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.ph...&manufactor=18 Thanks. weeed BTW - if I try to flash the 845D101.exe a message "target drive not connected" appears ![]() | |
