Newbie Forum Discuss, What do i need to copy a cd game? at International Chat: General Topics forum; Well... is my first post so give me a little chance... So, i will buy a cd game (in this case Baldur Gate 2 & expansion), and obtain again this game if it crash, i don't believe it... How copy this cd's? I read about the protection SecuROM (

What do i need to copy a cd game?

Well... is my first post so give me a little chance...
So, i will buy a cd game (in this case Baldur Gate 2 & expansion), and obtain again this game if it crash, i don't believe it...
How copy this cd's? I read about the protection SecuROM (somehing) but knock knock, nobody in my brain... i need to know how copy (like backup) and the hardware required for that.
Thanks in advance, if someone put these posts about this post, thanks a lot..

First you should identify the protection scheme implemented in the game. Read this thread to find out how.

Take a look at the CD Backup Guides and Tutorials forum where you will find more info on how to back up a Securom protected game.

You will need certain software for that, among which the most popular are CloneCD, Alcohol and BlindWrite. You can get them and others by reading the Download here your (trial) software packages thread. You can also read the following guides:
