What are 48,000hz, 32 bit wavs for? I thought 44,100 16 bit was CD quality.

When I make copies of audio CDs, I've always ripped the CD tracks to 44,100hz, 16 bit wav files first.

On some programs, I've seen the option for 32 bit and 48,000hz wav files.

Should I be using the later setting to burn CDs, or is it still ok to use the 44,100hz, 16 bit files?

There are, as you have seen, higher sampling rates than the standard CD audio parameters you mentioned. If you're ripping a standard audio CD, all you need to do is use 44.1k and 16 bit- there's no gain in using anything other than that because the original source isn't a higher sample rate than that.
