very specific DVD backup question. please to help?

Ok, my project for my Small Group Comm class calls for us to analyze a group and how they perform while trying to achieve a common goal. So of course I picked a football movie (Any Given Sunday). Anyway, I wish to show some clips in class to demonstrate the various conflict resolution types, etc.

There are many DVD back up programs out there like CloneDVD etc. But I don't want to back up the whole movie. Just 8 small scenes. Anyone know of any software that will allow me to copy these specific scenes (not whole chapters) to a DVD that will play in any commercial home DVD player?

BOTTOM LINE: I just need to get some DVD footage onto a blank DVD that will work at school for my presentation.

Thanks in advance.

Re: very specific DVD backup question. please to help?

VideoReDo (trial available) will open the .vob files one by one and can select the clip(s) you want, then save it out as MPEG2 streams. When you have all the clips you want, it has a built in joiner to stitch them back together again.

Any DVD authoring program will create a new DVD for you from the MPEG2 clip(s) created with this app. If you do not have one, Ulead DVDWorkshop 2 (trial) is easy to use. Link is to their ftp site. right-click on dws2_trial_e.exe and Copy To Folder
